“If this pandemic has a silver lining, it’s that I’ve been able to spend more time with my grandchildren,” Sophie said. A Bedford homeowner, Sophie was in a position to step up and provide childcare for her son’s three children when the childcare center they normally attended closed. “They’re all under the age of five, and this is a really special time in their lives that I’m happy to be part of.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“That being said, being able to get the kids out in the fresh air and sunshine is so important,” she continued. “Important and hard to manage. The reason we went with a design\/build firm to create our deck was to take advantage of this flexibility. We wanted to know all of our options before we made a decision.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n “We decided to go with the three-season porch because who knows how long this pandemic might go on?” Sophie said. “It’s nice and cool now, but when fall rolls around, the kids will probably enjoy being in out of the wind. The three-season porch has great windows all along one side, which means the kids can enjoy looking outdoors while staying safe, warm, and dry. It’s a great place for storytime.
